Punch List Technician

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with the superintendents to walk units nearing completion and help identify all areas that require correction and/or repairs.
  • Create punch lists of items from inspections that must be completed prior to project turnover
  • Daily hands on completion of finishing items identified on punch lists.
  • Prioritize tasks to ensure a smooth progress throughout the project by overseeing tasks and responsibilities assigned to employees and subcontractors
  • Work with our warranty manager to complete warranty requests, including specific repairs, schedules, and that work is completed in a timely manner
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors to complete warranty work as needed and review their work for completion to the Blackwood standards of quality.
  • Attend and participate in daily project meetings
  • Practice and enforce company safety standards on project sites at all times
  • Uphold company standards at all times and ensure quality of work is to the highest standard

Job Requirements

  • A minimum 3+ years of experience in maintenance, remodel, painting and/or construction
  • Have the tools required to complete various remodeling and carpentry projects.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to use modern technology including the Google Suite to track jobs, schedules and punch lists.
  • Ability to pass required drug test and background check screening
  • Must have a working cell phone

Dump Truck

CDL Driver

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Safely operate mid-size dump truck with trailer following all federal and state laws
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections following DOT required guidelines
  • Pick up orders from suppliers and ensure all orders for accuracy
  • Haul equipment, gravel, and materials to and from multiple job sites
  • Load and execute dump run trips
  • Complete driver truck logs at the end of each job
  • Refill gas tank at the end of each shift
  • Complete routine cleaning and maintenance of truck every week

  • Ability to operate equipment necessary for loading and unloading deliveries
  • Must provide a minimum of three (3) verifiable references

  • Cleaning and preparing construction sites as needed
  • Loading and unloading materials and equipment
  • Assisting with dump runs and deliveries
  • Building and taking down scaffolding and temporary structures
  • Digging trenches, compacting earth, and backfilling holes
  • Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties when necessary
  • Safely operate a variety of tools to complete daily tasks
  • Direct traffic safely around the construction or road maintenance site
